Love Isn't Over

 

Your heart is hurting,
Because the comfortable shoulder that you once cried on
Belongs to the same person who is currently responsible for your tears.
Now this soft shoulder feels more like a boulder
And has become too rough to lie on.
Your fear of seeing love in the rear repeatedly appears.
You don’t want to leave because your exit may manifest loneliness,
But don’t let the thought of loneliness
Keep you from moving on from this.
Just remember, your heart doesn’t belong like this.
You have too much to offer to settle for being treated wrong like this.
There may be a lot of time invested into this love that was manifested,
Just because it’s time to exit, doesn’t mean you should regret it.
Just understand the lesson and walk away with the message.
Your relationship may have experienced terminal weather,
But God has a new life for you on the other side of the wreckage.
Love isn’t over.
Just a season in your life of love is over.
Love lives forever.
You’re just waiting on God to send you a new shoulder.

Naked

After all this time

That we have shared together,
In my mind I still find
That your heart is still sheltered.
I know the past makes you hesitate
With moving too fast,
But I want to dry the rain
And help your sun shine forever.

May we find this kind of weather.
I feel like you’re protecting

And it’s repelling certain parts
Of the love that I give.

But not every part of you,

But all my gestures of love
Get questioned or appealed.
Your heart has a wall up
That’s standing too tall for us.
When all I want
Is your heart not covered up.
I promise if you give your heart to me
Without clothes on,
I’ll bathe it and let it skinny dip
Forever in my tub of love.
When it’s soaked enough,
You can have whatever you want.

Who placed clouds in front of your sun
That produced rain to drown your love like lungs.

That could never fill your wants and needs.
I apologize for the men who truly made you believe
That they would never leave, but left your heart deceived.
I apologize for the men who dove into your ocean of love,
While pretending to be the lifeguard of what’s inside your heart,
Only to leave you thrown overboard with no motion of love.
I apologize for every man who wasn’t man enough for you.
I apologize for every ounce of pain you have ever gone through.
I apologize for every man who added a brick to your wall
And has you afraid to let down your guard.
I apologize for every man who created any pain you’ve felt,
But please understand that I’ll never have to apologize for myself.

Comfort Her

Regardless of how strong she appears to be,
Still find time to hold her.
She may not expose every fear that she meets,
But still find time to hold her,
Just in case she is weak.

She may not always speak.
No, it is not your job to read her mind,
But her body language usually provides the signs,
That say it is time to be her comforter.

When she is in need of a consoling blanket,
Don’t ignore the signs or the sign language.
When her day has gone completely wrong
You may be the only one who could make it better.

But if you ignore her when she gets home,
She’ll walk right past you if you let her.
You’ll never know her pain if you don’t comfort her.

Don’t confront her. Be her comforter.

All she wants is your hugs and your love,
And to know that you are there just because.

Cry For Me

I know troubled times bring you down
In a world of disappointment
I know you’ve search all around
For your heart’s emotional warming
Only to gain nothing from it

It’s hard but you can’t give up
Because your heart has yet to find love
Give me a chance to open up
Your heart to what love really does
And the results will benefit us

Love Never Dies

The hardest loss in the world
Is someone that you love
It creates the question why
But in God we must trust

Trust His decision making
For He is never mistaking
On earth we call it death
But in heaven life has awaken

God has so many ways
To build unconditional faith
So love Him through the rain
As well as the sunny days

Of course it’s not easy
But it could never be too hard
Even when you’re blind to the reason
Why He’s taken part of your heart

It’s a natural feeling inside
For love to briefly pause
When you’re enjoying life
And God makes a house call

The bad thing about good things
Is that they must come to an end
But when life is ended by God
A new life shall begin

This new life we all live
Depends on how we choose
To follow the holy gift
Of the light guided by The Truth

It’s natural to miss love ones
But they don’t want us to live
The rest of our lives in grief
Because they’re not still here

A loved one may be lost
But they’re enjoying a second life
And that’s a luxury
Considering Jesus’ sacrifice

So don’t cry tears of sadness
Cry tears of happiness
Because the one you love
Has been spiritually blessed

When true love is formed
Only God can separate it
Your body may enter the ground
But your soul’s in a heaven that’s gated

This is deep eternal life
Way beyond the skies
Because of our spirits inside
Love never dies
